Ice Cream Freezer Burn

  • blender
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • vanilla

Why it happened

Freezer burn is ice crystal growth from air exposure. Re-blending and adding sugar reduces crystals and improves texture.

The fix

  1. 1 let soften for 10 minutes, then blend until smooth
  2. 2 add 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk and vanilla
  3. 3 refreeze in a shallow container with wrap on the surface

If it's still wrong

  • use in milkshakes
  • serve with warm sauce to mask texture

Prevent next time

  • press wrap directly onto the surface
  • avoid storing in the freezer door
